These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Curo Recruitment Intelligence platform ("Curo", "we", "us", "our"), available at curo.coach and operated by Curo Coach (trading as Curo Recruitment Intelligence), owned by Michael Mc Calman, based in Suriname. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use Curo.

1. About Curo

Curo is a recruitment intelligence platform that helps recruiters assess candidates. Recruiters create job openings on the platform and invite candidates to complete a text-based intake interview with an AI system. After the interview, Curo generates a structured candidate assessment report for the recruiter, which includes competency scores, work experience summary, suggested interview prompts, and a non-binding recommendation.

Curo is designed to assist human decision-making. It does not make hiring decisions and must not be used as the sole basis for any hiring decision.

2. Definitions

  • Recruiter: A person or organization that registers a paid account on Curo to assess candidates.
  • Candidate: A person invited by a Recruiter to complete an AI intake interview. Candidates do not register accounts on Curo.
  • Account: A registered Recruiter account on the platform.
  • Intake Session: The text-based conversation between a Candidate and the Curo AI system.
  • Report: The structured candidate assessment generated by Curo after the Intake Session.
  • Platform: The Curo website, application, and all related services available at curo.coach.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Curo. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent.

4. Recruiter Accounts

4.1 Registration

To use Curo, you must create an account with accurate information, including your full name, agency name, and a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Sharing your account credentials with another person is not permitted.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at hello@curo.coach.

4.3 Profile Information

You may optionally upload a profile photo. By uploading any content to Curo, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that the content does not infringe on any third party's rights.

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

5.1 Available Plans

Curo offers the following plans:

  • Trial: Free, 14 days, full access to test the platform.
  • Starter: USD 99 per month.
  • Growth: USD 199 per month.
  • Enterprise: Custom pricing, contact us.

5.2 Payment

Payment is processed via bank transfer. Payment receipts are uploaded manually to your account. No automatic renewals occur. Your subscription continues only when a new manual payment is processed and confirmed.

5.3 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. After cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months or unused time.

5.4 Price Changes

We may change prices for future billing periods. We will give you reasonable notice by email before any price change takes effect, and you may cancel before the new pricing applies.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Curo lawfully and responsibly. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Use Curo to discriminate against candidates on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Process candidate data without a lawful basis, including proper consent where required.
  • Share, sell, or expose Curo Reports outside of your legitimate recruitment workflow.
  • Share your account credentials with another person, or allow multiple users to operate a single account.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform or its AI systems.
  • Upload malicious code, fraudulent content, or content that infringes on the rights of others.
  • Use Curo for any unlawful, harassing, or harmful purpose.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

7. Candidate Data and GDPR

7.1 Roles

For candidate data processed through Curo:

  • You (the Recruiter) are the data controller. You determine the purpose and means of processing.
  • Curo is the data processor. We process candidate data on your behalf, in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

7.2 Recruiter Responsibilities

As the data controller, you are responsible for:

  • Obtaining valid consent from candidates before sharing the intake link, where consent is required by applicable law.
  • Having a lawful basis for processing candidate data under the GDPR or other applicable data protection laws.
  • Responding to candidate requests regarding their data (access, deletion, correction, portability, objection).
  • Ensuring that your use of Curo and the Reports it generates complies with all applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and privacy laws in your jurisdiction.

7.3 Curo's Commitments

Curo will:

  • Process candidate data only as instructed by you, the Recruiter.
  • Not use candidate data for any purpose other than generating Reports for you.
  • Not sell or share candidate data with third parties, except as necessary to operate the platform (see Section 8).
  • Encrypt data at rest and in transit.
  • Notify you of any data breach involving your candidates without undue delay.

8. Third-Party Services

Curo relies on the following third-party services to operate:

  • Anthropic (Claude API): Powers the AI intake conversation and Report generation. Candidate data is sent to Anthropic's API. Anthropic processes this data under their Commercial Terms and Data Processing Addendum. API data is automatically deleted after 7 days and is never used to train Anthropic's models.
  • Vercel (United States): Hosts the Curo web application.
  • Supabase (European Union / United States): Stores account data, candidate data, and Reports.

By using Curo, you acknowledge that data will be processed by these third parties as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. AI-Generated Assessments

Reports generated by Curo are assessments intended to assist recruiters. They are not hiring decisions, recommendations to hire or reject, or guarantees of candidate performance.

You acknowledge that:

  • AI systems can make mistakes, including factual errors, omissions, and biased outputs.
  • The recruiter remains fully responsible for any hiring decision made.
  • You will not use Curo Reports as the sole basis for any hiring decision.
  • You will exercise human judgment and follow applicable employment law when evaluating candidates.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Curo's Property

The Curo platform, including its software, design, branding, and AI prompts, is owned by Curo Coach and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

10.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload to Curo, including candidate data you control as the data controller. By uploading content, you grant Curo a limited license to process that content for the purpose of operating the platform and providing the service to you.

10.3 Reports

Reports generated by Curo are made available to you for use in your recruitment workflow. You may share Reports with your end clients in the context of a legitimate recruitment engagement.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • Curo is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Reports will be accurate or complete.
  • Curo, its owner, and its representatives are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Termination

12.1 Termination by You

You may cancel your account at any time from within the platform. After cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

12.2 Termination by Curo

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the platform in a way that creates legal or reputational risk for Curo or others. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to fix the issue.

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your access to the platform ends.
  • Your data and candidate data are deleted within 30 days of account closure, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law) will remain in effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Notify you by email to the address on your account.
  • Require you to re-accept the updated Terms in the platform before continuing to use it.

If you do not accept the updated Terms, you may cancel your account, and Section 12 will apply.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Suriname.

For users and candidates located in the European Union, nothing in these Terms removes the protections granted to them under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other mandatory consumer protection laws of their country.

Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved, where possible, through good-faith discussion. If that fails, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Suriname, without prejudice to mandatory rights of EU data subjects under their local law.
